Description

Q4 Architects is looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial Marketing Manager, with strong oral, written, and graphic abilities to help establish our new Marketing & Communications department. As part of our larger business development strategy, the Marketing Manager will play a key role in establishing new standards, ensuring branding consistency, and assisting the leadership team in the design and execution of our marketing strategy, including the development of marketing collateral. This role will provide support to our Toronto, Calgary, and Ottawa offices.

Qualifications and Education

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Architectural, Construction and/or Engineering professions preparing proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials in alignment with brand standards
  • A Degree in Architecture, Marketing and/or Communications is preferred
  • A Diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design or a related field will also be considered

Responsibilities

  • Creating written and graphic material for proposal submissions, including production, editing, and coordination of material received from Leadership, internal staff and external consultants.
  • Review upcoming RFP opportunities and assist with layouts, presentations and graphics, including the coordination of their production.
  • Develop copy and graphics for marketing campaigns (Email, Brochures, Articles, Press Releases, Social Media, Website).
  • Maintain, develop and update marketing and communication collateral, including staff bios, firm profiles and resumes, portfolio materials, brochures, award submissions, presentations and PR materials, including coordination of their production.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify new thought leadership opportunities, conference inclusions, lectures, and awards submissions.
  • Publish articles in printed and online press.
  • Generate new ideas for brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Coordinate and liaise with PR consultants and website developers for content, including project and event photography.
  • Use analytics and measurement tools (i.e., Google Analytics) to monitor firm social engagement.
  • Create, collaborate, and manage content with our Team for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, including developing and maintaining an engagement strategy on Hootesuite for all social platforms.
  • Manage the firm’s website content. 
  • Help to Grow an active and involved presence for the Q4A brand in the Toronto Architecture and Design community. Attend industry and professional events, as required.
  • Have a curious, enthusiastic, outgoing, and professional personality.

Technical

  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and a working knowledge of Newforma and Deltek Ajera is an asset.
  • Proven track record in achieving results on social media; increase of followers and network, successful firm-wide campaigns, engagement, brand awareness and new business
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels all firm marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
  • Highly proficient in digital content management software and marketing analytics tools
  • A keen eye for Architecture, Graphic Design, Typography, and a love for great copy
  • Excellence in oral, written and graphic communication with individuals and groups at all levels of the organization as well as external consultants and clients
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing 
  • Ability to effectively deliver quality work under tight deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Use CRM systems, and SEO strategies and processes
