Job Captain

Daniel Sousa

B. Arch, LEED GA

Hi, I'm Daniel, a Job Captain at Q4A, with more than 15 years of experience working as an internationally trained architect in Canada and abroad.

I have LEED Green Associate Accreditation and extensive experience working in the residential field, from high-rise buildings in Brazil to low-rise and midrise projects in Canada.

I was responsible for formulating the most appropriate land use strategy to achieve the most viable and creative solutions while diminishing environmental impact to the minimum.

At Q4A since 2017, I was responsible for the design and the project development of Wateridge Village, a new mixed-use community built on Algonquin Indigenous lands and the site of the former Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Rockcliffe. It's a mix of 217 Rear Lane Townhouses and 84 units of Stacked townhouses sprawled across three adjacent sites in Ottawa.

Finally, I was in charge of the Sales Centre for the same project. I managed the successful completion of Wateridge Village in 2019.

In 2020, I joined the mid-rise team at Q4A as Job Captain to work on Wateridge Block 19, a mixed-use mid-rise project with four mid-and high-rise buildings comprising 450 units and at grade retail.

Design and architecture are my passions, and I love exploring innovation.
